The temple opens at 5:30 am and closes around 9 pm. On Mondays of each month, a procession is carried out in a Palki, carrying the silver Panch Mukhi Mukhota from the Trimbakeshwar temple to the Kushavarta tank and returning

• Kaalsarpa Pooja- It is performed to help those facing challenges due to planetary influences in their lives. Before starting the pooja, devotees bathe in the sacred Kushavarta and seek forgiveness for any sins committed knowingly or unknowingly. They make offerings such as sesame seeds, ghee, butter, milk, cow, gold, and other items to God. The pooja also involves worshipping the Naag (cobra), making it especially auspicious to perform on Naag Panchami day.
• Narayan Nagbali Pooja- It is performed to alleviate ancestral curses, also known as Pitru-Dosh, affecting the family. It is believed to pacify souls with unfulfilled desires who have passed away. During this pooja, a symbolic body made of wheat flour is created by the priest, on which he performs rituals for the departed. Mantras are chanted to release the souls from earthly attachments. This unique pooja is conducted exclusively at the Trimbakeshwar temple and spans three days, often performed during Pitru Paksha.
• Tripindi Shraddha Pooja- It is performed to pacify the restless souls of the departed and to alleviate problems such as obstacles in childbirth, bad luck, and ancestral issues like Gau Hatya dosha, aiming for ancestral salvation (Moksha).
• Mahamrityunjaya Pooja- It involves chanting the Mahamritunjay Jaap to seek blessings for a long and healthy life and to alleviate prolonged sickness. This pooja is highly revered for its potency in worshipping Lord Shiva.
• Rudrabhishek- It is a ritualistic bathing of the Shiva Linga with Panchamrit (a mixture of milk, ghee, honey, curd, and sugar) accompanied by the chanting of sacred mantras and shlokas.

Things To Remember Before Visiting Triambakeshwar Jyotirlinga

• Visitors must wear traditional dresses only. Men should not wear a shirt inside the temple. Men should wear a dhoti and towel and women should dressed up in a saree or churidar.
• The male devotees who want to perform special poojas inside the sanctum should wear a white dhoti and a towel. The dress will be provided by the pundits if required.
• The Trimbakeshwar temple is the only Jyotirlinga where the actual Linga is present in a depression or a cavity.

How To Reach?

You can take a bus or a cab from the railway station to reach triambakeshwar jyotirlinga. Taxi can be booked for 2 Way. Note that cabs and bus usually drop 1km away from the temple. You will have to either walk up or take an auto from entrance to reach the main temple. Auto charge Rs. 100 for one side.
