Matsya Narayana Temple is a Hindu Temple in Chennai also known by the name Chinmaya Tarangini. The deity worshipped at Matsya Narayana Temple is the first avatar of Lord Vishnu, Matsya. Matsya Narayana Temple was built on land that was donated to the Chinmaya Mission around 25 years ago. 

Matsya Narayana Temple, Chennai is located approx 4 kilometers on the left side after the VGP Golden Beach resort on the ECR and witnesses a serene view of sunrise and sunset.

It is built near the shore of the Bay of Bengal making it one of the tourist attractions places.

The Matsya Narayana Temple is an open-air temple and there is a pebbled pathway (type of marble floor) to lead from one place to another barefoot. Each of the 9-foot stone carved pillar inscriptions are written in Sanskrit and Ramil with English Translations and are drawn from Vishnu Sahasranamam and Astothara Sadha Namavali. 

Matsya Jayanti is celebrated annually during Chaitra Shukla Paksha Tritiya (a three-day waxing moon phase in Chaitra Month (March-April)).
