The Mylapore Sai Baba Temple is located in the vibrant Mylapore neighborhood of Chennai. At this temple, there is an esteemed shrine dedicated to the saintly figure of Sai Baba of Shirdi. 

You can experience the kumbhabhishekam at the temple in 2025. Dates will be updated soon. 

The temple is open for Darshan from 6 AM everyday and is usually crowded on Thursdays. 

The temple was founded in 1941 by the revered Sri Narasimhaswamiji, who is also known as, the great Apostle of Sai Baba of Shirdi. The temple is maintained by Shri Narsimhaswamiji’s All India Sai Samaj, founded in 1940 in Madras.

Mylapore Sai Baba Temple Story

Narsimhaswamiji envisioned a permanent home for devotees of Baba in 1949. He began building a temple devoted to Sai Baba after receiving land in Mylapore through kind contributions. In 1952, the Samaj relocated to the new location, and in 1953, the main temple with its tower and garbhagriha (inner shrine) was finished.
