The food is served to the devotees, every forenoon in the Melmaruvathur Temple.

Melmaruvathur Temple History

In Melmaruvathur, a neem tree and a snake mound were found under the place where Siddhar Pedam is now located. In 1960, people saw the milk flowing out from the Neem tree. The milk was delicious and cured the various diseases of people living in the village.

On 28th November 1966, the neem tree was uprooted, and the snake mound was eroded in heavy rain. Suyambu emerged beneath the place where the neem tree was uprooted. The sanctum sanctorum is right here today.

In 1971, Adigalar revealed that the divine force would come down to earth as Goddess Adiparasakthi. He added that it would lead to a spiritual revolution and the beginning of the New Renaissance.

On 25th November 1977, the one-meter tall idol of Mother Adiparasakthi seated on the thousand petal seat lotus was installed in the Sanctum Santorum.
