Komuravelli Mallana Temple also known as Mallikarjun Swamy Temple is situated in the village of Komuravelli in Siddipet District of Telangana. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva in the form of Mallikarjun or Mallana with his consorts Goddess Kathamma, Goddess Ganga and Goddess Parvathi (Medalamma). 

Komuravelli Mallana Temple History

There is no written history or inscription about this temple but local Oggu Katha singers narrates the tails of Mallana through which we can get the history of this beautiful temple. It is believed that this temple is around 500 years old. 

The story of this temple revolve around Lord Mallana who wants to Marry Goddess Medalamma but her brothers did not want this to happen. They put certain conditions before Mallana inorder to marry Medalamma. One of the condition is to get "Bhandari" a rare yellow Turmic which was guided in the mystic mosque.  With the blessings of Lord Shiva and guidance of Yellamma, Mallana was able to retrieve the "Bhandari" and seeing his dedication towards Medallamma, her brothers agreed to their marriage. 

Komuravelli Mallana Temple Timings

The temple opens at 4:30 AM in the morning and closes at 12:00 PM at noon after that opens at 3:00 PM and closes at 8:30 PM.

Mallana Swamy darshan is available from 6 AM to 12 PM and 3 PM to 7 PM.

Komuravelli Mallana Temple Festival

Major Festivals celebrated at the Komuravelli Mallana Temple is Jathra which starts from the Makra Sakranthi till Ugadi. Devotees visits the temple every sunday during Jathra to seek blessings. 

Other major festival celebrated is Maha Shivrathri which is celebrated with Pedda Patnam a form of puja where Oggu pujaris decorate the rangoli (Patnam) to offer prayers to Lord Mallana. 

Agni Gundaalu is also celebrated before Sunday in Ugaadi.

How to Reach Komuravelli Mallana Temple 

This temple is located on the hills in the village of Komuravelli which comes under the Siddipet district of Telangana state. It is just 85 km from the Hyderabad city and 115 km from Warangal. 

Roads are well connected to the Temple. One can take TSRTC busess for Komuravelli to reach the temple. 

Nearest Railway station is Jangaon. which is around 43 km from the temple. You can take auto or buses from there also.
