Komuravelli Mallana Temple History
There is no written history or inscription about this temple but local Oggu Katha singers narrates the tails of Mallana through which we can get the history of this beautiful temple. It is believed that this temple is around 500 years old.Â
The story of this temple revolve around Lord Mallana who wants to Marry Goddess Medalamma but her brothers did not want this to happen. They put certain conditions before Mallana inorder to marry Medalamma. One of the condition is to get "Bhandari" a rare yellow Turmic which was guided in the mystic mosque. With the blessings of Lord Shiva and guidance of Yellamma, Mallana was able to retrieve the "Bhandari" and seeing his dedication towards Medallamma, her brothers agreed to their marriage.Â
