Murugan Temple Elk Hill History
It was once believed that a couple went to Palani seeking child boon. They could not go to Palani after their wish was fulfilled. Lord Murugan asked the couple to build a temple for him while he appeared in their dream.Â
The couple fulfilled the prayer by raising the temple which became famous later. This place was named Elk Hills because of the huge Elk family deers in this area.
